Accelpoint has become an International Partner of the Global FinTech Hackcelerator. A prestigious program for startups held as a part of the Singapore Fintech Festival. The accelerator will organize the European FinTech Hackcelerator with an international panel who will select the best FinTech startups from all of Europe.
The finalists of the European FinTech Hackcelerator will receive a S$20,000 (Singapore Dollars) cash stipend. Additionally, the winning team will also receive mentorship by industry experts and - most importantly - access to potential clients and investors. You will have a chance to pitch in front of a global audience at the Global FinTech Hackcelerator Demo Day at the Singapore FinTech Festival and will have the opportunity to win cash prizes totalling S$50,000 and S$200,000 for PoC.
During the Singapore Fintech Festival activities, we plan to focus on promoting European startups by leveraging our local network of VC funds - Business Angels and Business Partners. We will organize Investor Network Mixer with investors and entrepreneurs interested in learning and investing in the European startup ecosystem.

Formal review. Our Acclepoint team will check the formal criteria of the applications.
European Expert Review. Experts from Europe will select up to the top 20 startups for a Demo Day.
European Fintech Board Review. Our Board of Judges will choose the finalist that will receive a S$20,000 cash stipend and will pitch at the Global FinTech Hackcelerator Demo Day at Singapore FinTech Festival in December.
Joseph is the Head of Global Business Development & Partnerships at Tribe. Joseph oversees Tribe’s growth strategy including expansion of globl corporate, government, and investor networks, as well as cross border market penetration. His experience lies in establishing networks in APAC, MENA and North America.
Prior to Tribe, Joseph begas his tech career as a management consultant, and subsequently joined an early venture capital fund which invests globally in fintech & blockchain. Joseph obtained his fifance major in the National University of Singapore.
Jonė is a Partner at Startup Wise Guys, a leading B2B startup accelerator in Europe, that has invested in over 185 startups in the past 8 years. Jonė has over 8 years of experience working directly with early stage companies both in consulting and as an investment fund manager. She has been helping them to evaluate market and tech potential, do market validation, setup initial sales and build the team. She is experienced in securing funding for startups and is currently managing a pre-seed and seed fund that invests into early stage startups.
Daria is working as a partnership manager for Seedstars World in CEE and Globally. Previously she was organizing the largest startup competition in emerging markets Seedstars World in CEE & Eastern Asia. She was a mentor or a jury member in several startup events.
Eddie George is a FinTech Innovation Expert, Consultant, and Mentor with over 30 years experience in the Financial Services industry from Software Developer through to CTO. A Computer Scientist and MBA, interested in disruptive new financial technologies and innovation.
Dmitrij manages VC fund and Accelerator where we provide wisest money on the market for prospective B2B startups. He is always in search for talented startup founders to invest in and join our growing Startup Mafia consisting of 170+ portfolio startups, 250+ mentors, 200+ VCs and passionate Wise Girls & Guys team.
Don Ginsel is a Civil Engineer and former banker at ABN AMRO and Deutsche Bank. After leaving banking for Venture Capital, the innovative power of technology and start-ups drove him to choose the startup side for a while. He has since been active as entrepreneur, investor and as mentor and coach through several accelerators and incubators. He founded Holland FinTech in 2014, currently the largest financial innovation ecosystem in Europe, aiming to use the momentum in the financial industry, to change it for the better. Don is active as entrepreneur and board member in several initiatives that are driving forward digital transformation and building innovation ecosystems across the world.
Douglas Keith Abrams is the founder and CEO of Expara Group of Companies. He has launched five early-stage funds in Singapore and manages a non-discretionary client fund in Thailand. He is an Adjunct Associate Professor at the National University of Singapore’s (NUS) Business School. He has been a Visiting Professor in Venture Capital for the Sasin Graduate Institute of Business Administration at Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok since 2007. Douglas is former Chairman of the Business Angel Network of South East Asia (BANSEA) and served on the board of the Media Development Authority of Singapore (MDA) from 2009-2010. Prior to coming to Singapore in 2000, Douglas managed information technology at JPMorgan for 14 years. From 1997 to 1999, he was Global Markets Head of Internet Marketing, and from 1991 to 1997, he was VP and Manager of Investment Banking Technology.
Görkem Çokçetin is the former head of Fintech Engagements and Digital Partnerships in Emirates NBD. He has +20 years’ experience in banking and started his carrier as an RM in Corporate banking and worked in different roles including branch, region and head office and global level. He was the Innovation and Idea Development Manager in Yapi Kredi/Unicredit from 2012 to 2017 and participate innovation projects in Unicredit group level.
Peter Sasi is the founder and head of Multipass Asia, a long-time regional IBM partner driving cutting edge digitisation and business transformation for decades; helping customers and local partners alike. The driving force in developing its innovative products IntelliVector and Voyager – winning MPS the Best Cloud Based Program Award at the Asian Banker Summit. Peter is also the president of the CEE Chamber and is on the Board and Executive Committee of EuroCham Singapore.
Anders Norlin is the CEO of the Swedish fintech hub, Findec (www.findec.co). Through his work at Findec and position within the fintech industry, Anders has an extensive network with entrepreneurs, fintech investors and companies as well as with legacy financial institutions. Prior to Findec, Anders has over 15 years experience from assignments in various investment companies - from Nasdaq listed private equity investment company, via as Partner at micro VC fund to private family office investor.
Anna brings 20 years of experience in driving and fostering banking and payments innovation in Europe, with a focus on CEE (PwC, mBank, Citigroup, T-Mobile).
Anna is building cooperation models between banks and Fintech startups, particularly with regard to Open Banking, Payments as well as AI projects. She is also a Senator, Member of the Global Startup Committee at the WBAF – World Business Angels Investment Forum, Jury Member and Expert at the EU/EC European Innovation Council (EICAccelerator) aimed at financing innovative SMEs across EU. Featured in the TOP10 Women in FinTech (FinTech Magazine 2020); 100 Women in FinTech (100WFinTech) global directory and “Women in FinTech Powerlist 2019”; “TOP 25 Women Leaders in Financial Technology of 2019”.

Responsible for new R&D-based ventures in the 7bulls group as CEO of Accelevation, group's investment arm.
Michael has worked in the creative and innovation industries for over 30 years. He is a hands-on strategic advisor for various businesses, investment funds & accelerators across all technology sectors including Activeledger (UK), Mom Incubators (UK), DECENT (CH), Hubris One (EE), Fabrica do Futuro (Brazil), Films Angel (UK/ France), PMPG (PL), Private Equity (UK), Accel Point (PL) and Privum (CH). He is also a Tech London Advocate and a lecturer at the INSEEC university. In addition, Michael is a supporter of the Nekton oceanology Foundation (Oxford University) and GIVENation, the children’s foundation.

He supervised the Experience Design business line for the Central European region for Deloitte Consulting CE and has extensive experience as a VC fund managing partner.
A pioneer and international expert in the field of UX & Product Design. One of Google's global Product Design experts since 2015. Has completed over 500 projects for 45 markets in Europe, the US, Africa, and Asia, winning international awards including the Global Finance award for the Best Digital Banking service in the region (ING Business Online).
He founded and managed the UX Poland conference for 8 years (until 2017), one of the largest UX conferences in Europe.
Since 2010, he has built and managed one of the first and largest postgraduate UX Design / Product Design study programs in the region at the SWPS University.
For several years he has been involved in blockchain projects. He is a speaker at many Polish and international industry conferences. Privately a father of two and a passionate traveler and design.
Pauline Sim started her banking career serving the Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) segments of the bank, covering all banking and financing requirements that SMEs have in the 15 years of her career.
In 2015, she was part of the team that setup The FinLab, the innovation accelerator of United Overseas Bank Ltd (UOB), to accelerate the best and brightest FinTech start-ups from all over the world looking to land in Singapore and capture the ASEAN market. The FinLab’s companies is seeing good success with many of them being recognized at the Singapore FinTech Festival since 2016, and getting business traction and funding.
In 2018, seeing the need to support the Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) looking to adopt technology and transform, The FinLab launched Singapore’s first acceleration programme for SMEs. The programme helps SMEs to access and prioritise areas of digitalisation, get matched with curated tech solution providers and get support on implementation of the pilot projects with the selected tech solutions. The programme was expanded to Thailand and Malaysia, partnering local government agencies such as National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA) in Thailand and Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) in Malaysia, to support the local SMEs.
She was elected into the executive committee of Singapore FinTech Association (SFA), the association for the FinTech community in Singapore, during which she served as the Lead for Women in FinTech subcommittee between 2017 to 2019. She holds an Masters in Business Administration.
Benny Chng is an Assistant Director for Venture Building at SGInnovate. He works with startup founders on applying cutting edge technologies to solving real-world problems in industry (e.g. the application of AI and cybersecurity technologies in finance and insurance). To this end, he enjoys working with entrepreneurs on identifying blue-ocean business opportunities, building sought-after products and winning teams, and raising capital to grow and scale. In his previous role, Benny was a governance, risk, and compliance consultant for the financial services industry.
Gerard, a Chartered Accountant by training spent 12 years in corporate finance and treasury in New Zealand with NZ Equities and Ord Minett. He returned to Singapore in 1996 and taught banking for the University of London and the University of Queensland’s MBA program. In 2001 he founded WP Capital and the Huntington Group of companies which includes Huntington Partners LLP, Huntington Search Partners, Huntington Capital Partners, Huntington Equity Partners(HK), Huntington Partners (UK), Huntington Partners (Belgium), Huntington Partners (Turkey). In addition, he is chairman of Nexus Structured Solutions and Non-Executive Chairman of Nexus Underwriting Asia. He currently resides in Singapore.
